Can you drop a registry and name on her ...you know...the name on one side front and the regristry on the otherside front???
Oh BTW...the nacelles are not mine...the credit goes to my mate, Intermech...he passed them over to me a while back...to see if I could do anything with them. For the longest I didn't have a use for them...but bam!!! I do now!!! :)
So thanks Intermech :)

lol, looks like there may be 3 different textured versions running around (if i get around to retexing the d)
-
not sure hwo the community works now. i like to give model and texture advise... is that ok?
-
I personally can't see anything wrong with giving advice, advice and critiques only make us better (hey when ya got atolm critiqueing ur work for the small details its sure to improve ya ;))

Nice re-texture!
-
ok, 3 things i see, and ill be brief
1. smoothing: there are a few location it hink smoothing coudl improve this model up to by at least a 1/10th
2. the area on top of the bridge deck, the texture looks stretched. even if it isnt actuallty stretched u may want to suse soemthgin other then horizonatal patterns in that area.
3. the blues ont he ship are IMHO too saturated. this of course is a matter of taste, but i try hard to to use pure colors. i go for very desaturated colors and try to look to nature to give me hints on color schemes. but get a look at some trek ships and take note the onyl thing that is that blue is something glowing, like an impusle crystal.
-
I agree with 1 and 2...most especially 2...
3, meh, not so important i think, but thats me.
-
Unusual but really nice. 8)
-
could use a phaser strip on the edge infront of the deflector too.
-
If I was to change only one thing on this ship it would be to re-do the top of the neccelle the markings (red with yellow arrow) look a bit too chunky!!!
Apart from that this looks great, and considering you use MS Paint..... WOW :o
-
Aye Thanks mates!!!
And I'll keep the advice in mind. :)
As for the smoothing I have no real control of...as Milkshape doesn't have a smoothing option that seems to work well
I would usually pass my ships to my partner in crime Tus...but I didn't want to bog him down with ships(as most of you
know and Tus can personally account for...I pump out alot of shiips in a short time)... :p
And yeah I do use MSPaint for my textures
When I get up enough nerve to try PSP or the others I will...but for now, I like to see what I can do with less
-
have u considered paint shop pro... i used to use that back int he day and its got tons mroe features. also i understand maya and max both have leanring editions that are free. the maya one will let u save models out in obj format which keeps the UV coordinates, allowes for smoothing and many other featuures and only the rendering has been removed. give ti a go, u wont be sorry.

Now that's nice, DD!. Now we'll have two takes on an already cool design. Are planning on more of retextures, such as Enterprises G, H or I?

Azel do you have a scanner?
if you do use the picture editor program that comes with it, it is usually a PSP or PS light. I use to use this method at first because paint doesn't allow you to grow, and the first few ships I did were also done in paint.
