I never really thought of Tholians so much as being more spider-like, even in ship design, however. I figured "web," like "Tholia," is a Federation term. I never really liked spiders... But again, you do a wonderful job. I see no reason to change the looks of any of these ships. So, although I'd be more fond of the Neo Tholian ships you've made, I like 'em all, and plan on using 'em all.

I just went thru the models in the model viewer. Each and every one is just fantastic. Thanks for including all the planets of tholia and the 2x different versions of each ship, the ones with the green crystals and those without. We get to pick which we like. And some are really cool. The textures are out of this world. These are by far the most unique Tholian mod I have seen, and a complete one at that! I could go on and on... but I'll just sum up by saying you have outdone yourself and have given us so many new cool toys to play with. Thank you! ;)

Could you explain the difference between the types of ships?
I mean, i know the Neo-Tholians are the military from their home galaxy..but what are the history on the Crystal tholians, or the BioCrystal?

Think like a mobile BS/SB made up of Tholian ships that have joined themselves togeather with web. The Tholians can deploy three PC's ow CW's to a place and have them pinwheel to cover a border hotsopt and they have almost identical firepower to a BS/SB.

There is a working one in SFB-OP-04 but it just doesn't work out without web protection, still kinda neat tho. I started out trying to tow it around, lol, and ended up treating it like a base like it should be, I survived longer than I expected it was a fun(ny) battle as I recall. (was facing roms...) dang, I'd like to get some GSA going on that mod again....

A pinwheel is a defensive formation that some classes of Tholian ships can enter.
It combines the power and shields of the 3 ships and can be dissolved at any point at the Tholian players option. Normally there can be one layer of web around it.
Attacking it with plasma is obnoxiously diffcult since it has the phasers and shuttles of 3 ships not ot mention the combined shielding of 3 ships.

While messing around with the tholian shiplist I realized I needed a freighter. Soo.... I banged one out in about 30 minutes or so. Picture below.

well it all depends on which end you look at and sense of scale. from the nacelle side it sorta looks like a freighter but if you flip it around and have those 3 massive spikes comming at you like in the first pic it looks somewhere near the dimention of a star-destroyer or a heavy command cruiser large, long, lots of fire power. like i said its all a matter of sense of scale i see it as big where as others my not see the same thing.

i think you should keep it as is kind of remind me of a SDF1 type ship remember how the main gun fired? something like that freighters should be boxxy and clunkie not sleek and mean looking but that is just my opinion. all in all i think your thol's rock rock on :dance: :dance: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :woot: :woot:

Just drop it in the same folder as the tholians ships and you should be good to go. If you don't have them I'll email you the texture files you need.

Might be worth noting that in your sig, it appears there are 2x different D/Leds. Each is a seperate file. Do both have the brk?

For those of you intrested:
Here is a 3rd draft shiplist for the tholians. It's not an entire list for every race. It just has the tholians and federation in. The Tholians are under the gorn slot in this list. And remember it's a draft so if you find any bugs let me know. The list assumses that you are using my models. I'll post the fighter models in a second

Fighter and Heavy Fighter models

Here is the one extra texture file you need for the fighters. The rest of the texture files are the same as the other tholian models. So just drop the fighter MODS and this texture file into the same folder as the rest of the tholians and your set.

Have a crude screetshot of the two fighter models (dark side of the model). It's sorta hard to get good screenshots of moving fighters hehe...
