Title: My first vacation in over three years!!!

It has been so long since I have had a vacation that I forget what taking a break from real life is actually like.  :) Anyway, I am going to the Tactical Defense Institute http://www.tdiohio.com/ in southern Ohio this weekend to take their pistol levels I-III. It looks as if I might be bored for a good bit of the first day but they really only like LEOs to start at a higher level. At least that is what they told me when I talked to them on the phone. And yes, I know part of why they told me that is to get more money from me. I'm not stupid after all.  ;) Anyway, I plan on having a blast, pun intended.

Eventually I hope to take all 7 levels of training, or its equivalent somewhere else. My goal is to be more proficient with my weapon than the majority of the police are. Which isn't saying much in some cases. lol

Wish me luck. Oh, and play nice while I'm gone.

Good Luck.  And tell us more on how to get in the pistol course!  I'd like to get profficient with a pistol some day too!

I hope you have a good time, I know you have been wanting to do this for a while now.  Too bad we couldn't go together.  But then if we did you'd have to be embarrassed by my lack of pistol skills.   :2gun:

One of two ways. They have an online registration application or you can call them. I did the call as the form isn't a secure site. Ithen got the info fromthem in the mail afew days later and that was that. it wasn't hard. If you are a minor, I'm sure a guardian would have to attend with you. That would be typical of a place like this. And I'm no sure but they may do a quick backgroud check to see if they would be training a konwn cirminal to be more proficient. That wouldn't be wise.

Oh how I would like to have a class 3 firearm and take their tactical rifle classes! LOL
