Some personal comments...


I have not had this much fun with OP in a real long time.

I've set up many fleet battles and scenarios including...

1. Tears of the Prophets (DS9 epsiode where Judzia Dax was killed by Dukat).  -  Lots of powerful Cardassian Defense Platforms AND Cardassia AND some Jem'Hadar fighters.

2. The Tholian Web (TOS) - from the Tholian perspective..  The Tholians have set up a listening post near a Fed asteroid base. The base is defended by    a Constitution Class CA, A DN, and a Frigate. I can either blow up the base or capture it. By the way, any ship can be captured. 

3. Dominion Base Assault  -  This is based loosely on the Tal Shiar Invasion of the Founder's Homeworld from Deep Space Nine - only this time there are several Dominion Base Stations in the vicinity - each sporting several Jem'Hadar fighters.  The planet itself attacks you, and more fighters appear..

4.  Outpost Assault - Using Eric Mistal's Cold-Snowy landscape as a backdrop - The Federation goes in to make sure the bad guys don't cause any more trouble.  The cool thing here  -  capturing the landscape..

5. Star Wars?  - There are two non-playable Tie fighters in the Universe At War mod. The Federation is escorting a freighter with needed medical supplies across uncharted space, when these little 'ships' suddenly appear from seemingly nowhere. The escort ship's Science Officer turns to the Captain and says; "Sir, what's an Imperial Tie Fighter?"

6. Renegade Klingon - The Federation must find out why the Klingons attacked two Federation outposts..  Upon entering Klingon space, they discover a docked NeghVar class. Attempting to hail it, the Federation instead gets attacked. Screenshots from this one are in another thread.

7. Klingon Base Assault -  (TNG era) - This can be considered a follow up to the above. An all out assault by the Federation on a Klingon Starbase, after the Feds discover the renegade Klingon faction that still hates the Federation and ordered the outposts to be destroyed.  Centauri set this one up originally.


Fleetpick is an excellent tool for setting up and testing mods, and just plain fun.  One of the beauties of it is that you can use ANY ship/base/planet/defense platform/listening post in the game in any scenario. It works well with 2552, 3.4, and my UAW mod. Hats off to Centauri Vaughn for this awesome program.  Centauri's download comes with some 3.4 scenarios ready to go, and there's an entensive help file to get you going.

and it does have a version of it for SFC3 also. its a very great tool i recommend for anyone.

How about this one..

Using the large cube from the unpatched SFC3, I took a fleet of TNG Feds into battle. The Cube suffered some damage, but wiiped out the Fed fleet.  Ships exploding everywhere..

Just another bump for Fleetpick..

Let us hope Centauri is picking fleets for a long time to come..   ;D

You'll have a blast..

It's great for testing mods, new ships, etc..  .. and just plain fun!
