I tried search and it has not been my friend (On the forum).
I am fairly sure it was stored in the old registry and I know their are some tools to open a registry off a "non-active" windows partition (The drive is fine I just have started fresh). The deal is in my move to my new house (which is AWESOME) the only CD I can't find is my O.P. CD. I am fairly sure I have a backup copy of the disk... I know I can borrow a friends for the install... but I, like an idiot, failed to write down my CD-Key. I seem to remember someone having this issue before and finding a way to get it from the registry of the old machine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks...

*sigh* .. I know this.. *bangs head*.

The Key is stored in the registry.
But I belive the value is encrypted. The path in regedit :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GameSpy\CDKeys
It might be posible to "copy/port" that value over to the other machine and get it to work without getting the prompt to enter key after initial install. I have never done it, but I remember in beta taking the key out (with a backup registry just in case) and receiveing the prompt to re-enter key. It might be worth a shot.

I have tried to export the registry key to a file, and reenter it after a reinstall, (on the same machine) and it works

THanks for all the help guys... anyone want to recommend their favorite registry reading tool? There appear to be tons of them... For point of reference as far as I know... OP is the only key I need to recover.

Well, if you have nothing else, windows regedit is ok, but I prefer Lavasoft's RegHance. much better at searching your registry. Find it at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
