I like the really big map. Whatchu guys think? This is a fun server, not too be taken seriously so a custom map really is not needed.

Slight issue here. The Roms and the Klingons don't have a neutral zone with eachother. They have a shared border. That's it.

Smaller one. Increases PvP.
Josh, I believe the map is straight F&E, thus the seperation.

Large as hell map, Hex Dvs of 1-5, planets at 5-30 DV, destroyable bases, lots of em....... ;)

With the big map, DVs will be relatively low, like 5 for most hexes and yes bases will be destructable.

I'd say about four hexes ought to do it. That's all that ever gets used anyway. :P

I believe having more hexes with low DVs will hopefully change that. I'm a trench-warrior myeslf but I have to admit that gets a little dull.
Low DVs and destructable bases should make things interesting, which is why I would like the try the larger map.

Nah, just seeing a server crash from 30 people hitting the same hex is making me think about trying a different approach.

IMO, the worst part of a large map the the tedium of traversing from one hotspot to another.
Besides, although you can move 3, you can still move 1 or 2 per jump.

I am sorry, no way am I going to do a server with 2-3 hex movement with destructable bases. LB5 was retarted like that.
