So I think the model looks pretty mutch finished, its clean and ready for textures, so Im starting them as we speak :)
-
Lookin good.... ;D ;D ;D ;D Though without being too critical here, I don't like the nacelle pylons.. They look a bit "fussy"... What I mean is unnecessarily so... If that makes sense...
I DO like the saucer shape though... sweeet :D :D :D :D :D
What's your poly count running at for this??
DC

There's my NCF. :notworthy:
I'm curious about the poly count as well. Some of the higher-end stuff tends to lag my game.
-
Thanks guys, Poly count on this is way too high as it is coming in on the 12,000 mark, I was making this for a BC conversion not for SFC, if their is demand, Im sure I could RACK DOWN THE POLY'S for a sfc release :)
-
Yep.. Im gonna finish the vigilant, then the reeve... then urm... the excelsior?? and then mabey this... then the 8 ships MP gave me... and urm....
COFFE :o

I really like this one, call me crazy but its TOS. I like the shape of the saucer, not circular but it looks TOS still. the short neck and comparitivly large secondary hull make it look bulldog tuff.
I agree with the comment on the pylons, they need to be straight. The warps need to be bigger and pushed back a bit so that you can see the brussard caps in the top view.

this is cool, looks a bit like an TOS Intrepid/Voyager, the overal design is great only the nacelle pylons don't match with the rest of the design
-
Ok, I will straighten the pylons, and extend the length of the necelles slightly and bring them back as you guys have suggested ;)

Ok.. so I straightend the pylons and brought the necceles back, texturing has been done on the saucer and pylons and one buzzard.. Just wanted to show, as I realise the texturing is slightly unconventional for a TOS fed, but I want ths to look smaller and tougher than a connie so I thought the texturing needed to be distinctive and harsher ;)
Anyway... Im gonna continue tomorrow ;D

Yes, please. I've got an older system (but cable, thank the gods), and the higher-end stuff get's pretty laggy. WZ'sa stuff is about as high poly as I can go.
Ship looks great, btw. Personally, I like the phaser hardpoints a bit more defined texture-wise, wereas you, like WZ, have just the 'shadow' effect on the hardpoints. But that's just me, hasn't kept me from collecting all his stuff, lol.
