My oldest niece Mary was accepted on the USA's Junior Olympic Volleyball team. She's only 14 and is one hell of an athlete. She runs track, plays basketball, fast-pitch softball, volleyball, along with several other non school sports. She's also a straight A student, is in advanced placement classes, and is on the honor roll. Not too shabby. She's also been studying martial arts for years and can kick all of your butts. ;D

Thanks guys. I just had to share. I dont have any children of my own, so Ive kind of adopted my nieces and nephews. She has a special place in my heart since I used to take care of her after school, helped her with her homework and such. Mary and another niece are almost like my own children. Im so proud of them I could explode. (The other is only 4 yrs old though).

Congrats Shadow. Children are a special joy. Good that you are so close to your nephews and neices, and I am sure that the parents are happy too. You get credit for helping her have the confidence to be that good, too. Tell her we said good luck in the Jr. Olympics.

Not to worry Stephen. Her brother is a student at UNCC and would beat the...crap...out of anyone messing with her (he was also took second place in the state wrestling tourney-lost on a technical decision). Not to mention her father and me (both of us are big guys). Her brother would have to take thirds. Besides, she can already beat the crap out of most grown men, so.... ;)
