This is the ship that Data flew in ST: Insurrection.
Mesh itself is almost finished. Just needs some more detail and tweaking. I still have questions about the top details, because the schematic im using, and the screen caps dont show much relief. I would hate to have to texture in something thats a raised or recessed area that can be meshed. the area i question is on the top between the impulse engines.
heres some recent pics of the mesh, it is destined for the Nexus: Age of War mod, but SFC versions will be done also.

Im guessing the final poly count will be around 1500-2000. Its still rough on some edges. The gaps and roughness will be fixed as i texture her. i wanted a reasonably low poly count because in the nexus mod there will be squadrons of 6, or more of these ships on screen at the same time.

Little more work done, the top half is almost textured. The embossing is a little overdone, but thats the lowest setting on a 512 texture. She was never intended to be a high resolution stand alone model. In Nexus there will be squadrons of 12 or more of these ships on screen at the same time. 12 x 2000 polys = 24000. Thats alot of polys to render unless we can lod her.

Im using a surprisingly accurate schematic from shipschematics.net, and screen caps from insurrection itself to fill in the gaps, and fix inaccuracies. Im not going for 100% accurate with this one, but "close enough" is good enough for a "fighter" in a video game.

More updates. the model is 90% complete. just a few minor details left to mesh and texture, like the impulse engines, and i need to redo the bussards cause they are the wrong shape. Im also gonna mesh in the vertical "ribs" on the front, and back of the wings.
Anyways heres whats done so far. Understand im making lower resolution textures than normal for this model (2x 512's) and cramming everything i can into them. As i said earlier i expect to see lots of these ships on a map at once.

Well the textures are great as well as the mesh. It'll be the most detailed ship of it's design in the community :) Have you considered making Sovereign Captain's Yacht from Insurrection? :D
I have an idea of Federation Late TNG Runabout which outclasses the Danube class. It would be based on the design of
Enterprise-E Captains Yacht :) Please consider it :) BTW if you make her deflector dish colour a bit darker she will look better ;)

well your gonna dig this some more lol.
Just finished her up tonite, and did a test run in the Nexus model viewer (For those that dont know its the model viewer for Nexus: The Jupiter Incident with full lumination, shadow, bump, and specular map support). I made some crude bump, and specs for her, but i will make proper ones later on. Just wanted to see her in the nexus engine. The final poly count is 1627, and has two 512x512 texture sheets. Beta for SFC 2 should be done soon.

Thers some roughness, and some seams where i didnt re-weld vertices, and re-smooth after i ported the model into lightwave. the 3dsmax model doesnt have these flaws
