This may be posted elsewhere, but I could not find it. What is the benchmark on this server for flipping a hex? I have hit numerous hexes repeatedly without having them flip. On the other hand, I have flipped a couple on occasion. I cannot, however, seem to identify a common thread for when it happens. Is it random? Does it generally require a victory in a a PvP match (though I hve been in victorious missions here and not seen a hex flip, too.)
Thanks!

It requires a victory in a hex where no enemy is, who is also winning a mission. You may not get the DV shift or "flip" if an enemy has succeded in the samer hex as you in a his own solo mission, before you do.

Right click on the hex you are working on. It will give you the defense value of that hex (along with cartel defense valiues and economy) in your chat box below the map.
As you take missions and win in enemy space, the "defense value" will go down until it reaches 0 when it will go neutral. One more win and it flips to your race, and then continued missions will race the DV until it reaches max.

W/O exception, the Economy rating of a hex is equal to it's maximum Defense Value. A hex will always turn neutral at 0 and will not be able to be raised aboved it's econ value on SGO4.
