Today, this Romulan has crossed a threshold that previously was only a dream.
This is my first post useing the brand spanking new DSL connection...I cannot envision any place else I would leave my first "footprint".
In the not to distant future, IRIS will join the others in the community in providing a modest server to adventure on...more about that later.
Now I can DL those REALLY HUGE files of stuff that gets the links posted here...It is a good day for Imperial Romulan Information Service.

It really is kinda sad when you make your selection of what house to buy or rent based off of the broadband connection you can get...but I got use to it ;) So can you.

been listening to tunes while dl a bunch of patches for most things I have so I can archive.
messed around w. my buddies TS server...cannot find my old mic/headset from the mplayer dayz. Will prob need to invest in a new one
dloaded some nasa animations and stuff...dark side materials are not high on my list of things at this time...
boinc seti server is down and need to adjust my settings...plus re organize my accts for everything and set up my new email addie, though I have 5 static IP and will prob put a mail/web server on my buddies junk box (donation to the cause) and save my pennies on box to run the op server kit and a box to run the db itself if linux is the way to go...
ive got a bunch of things to do yet before I can relax and push it..getting good bw 1.7m-ish down 415k-ish up...and this is before any line adjustment on the providers end....life is good

Well, I have successfully configued the router to op. I was able to log on and enter the server. The hairs on my arm stood up and I smiled and was happy.
I am more or less ready for GW5.
