Found this off theInquirer:

Try or buy from:
http://www.mxsinc.com/
it makes for an interesting scenario though -
a)buy a mac and hope that the windows emulator will let you play your pc games or
b)buy a pc and hope the mac emulator lets you run your mac applications.

Some argue that Cherry OS is actually a rip of Pear PC. As I recall, some of the source was so similar it even contained exactly the same argument names. I've also heard Cherry OS (or Pear PC) is not exactly "solid".
Enjoy a summary of the accusations here:

Thanks DM, that was a good read.
Was there ever any conclusive follow up to that? It said in the article Kryeziu would show the source code(a few days after the article was published) to PearPC so that allegations of copying could be ironed out.

Nope, no source shown to my knowledge. Suspicion remains strong...
CherryOS does not violate the GPL as long as the source is available. You can charge for binary distributions if you want, but the source must be freely if said source is derived from GPL'ed code.
I've heard in a race between CherryOS and molasses, molasses wins hands down...
