Title: Unable to change screen resolution in OP

Hello,

     First, I would like to apologize if this question has already been asked, but I was unable to find a solution searching the boards.  I recently purchased a copy of OP and for whatever reason I am unable to change the screen resolution to anything higher than 600x800.  When I enter the setup utility to change it, it stays changed but when I start the program It's still at 600x800.  My desktop is set at 1280x1024 and all drivers(directx, video, audio,etc) are all up to date.   Any help would be great.

Easy solution: Khoromag's EzINI (http://www.khoromag.org/taldren/setup-ezini.exe)

Also, edit your shortcut to OP to point to StarfleetOP.exe and make sure the "start in" field lists the location of StarfleetOP.exe (easy way: copy starfleetOP.exe and past as shortcut on the desktop).

I was wondering if anyone has the utility/fix mentioned here? the link is long since dead.

Yes, I think I have it zipped up somewhere. You can edit the .ini file manually with notepad too.

Go into your Taldren folder and find a file called SFC (it looks like a notepad file with a gear on it) and open it with notepad, then look for a section like this one:

ambientlighting=0.20
luminancetextures=1
luminancedamagetextures=1
spacedust=0


Adjust the "lowres" entry to one of these six parameters -

0=640x480
1=800x600
2=960x720
3=1024x768
4=1152x860
5=1280x1024
6=1600x1200

Be sure your video card and monitor can handle the resolution you pick and be sure that your desktop res is the same or higher than the game or it will crash.
