This is my first attempt at kitbashing. I thought to post this for opinions and advice. Right now I have yo use
the original brk_mod as Milkshape wont do them.
-
Pretty good Kitbash there ;D Keep up the good work :)
-
looiks good, only one problem... the insignia is backwards ;)
-
Thanks guys, your right Tus thats because the texture was done by schtupp. I rotated it to fit the
mesh, now the reversed insignia. ::) I can't do my own lettering yet.
-
Flip it back again it should work..... keep at it... its a good start... if you want some decent tuts and stuff PM me.. always happy to help fresh blood... ;)
-
Now, my personal suggestion would be to make each of your models a single object, without any polies that can't be seen from the outside deleted, and the whole mesh made a single element and object (elements are made up by groups of polies that are attached (i.e. each poly doesn't have a single vert that's not connected to the polies around it -if it doesnt make sence, just tell me)
-
Thanks guys I'll keep it in mind and try flipping it again. 8)
-
btw ur problem is easier to fix than you think.. u just need to alter the uvw map for the saucer (ie flip it horizonatally) i think that is possible in milkshape....
-
I have tried flipping texture and remapping looks ok in milk, but is still reversed in game. :banghead:
-
Why not "flip" the texture itself (horizantally) in MS paint? It'll look backwards, but just right in-game... Or was that done already?
Oh well. In any case, with a few tweaks here and there, I say you have a fine-looking ship anyhow. She looks somewhat TOS, yet somewhat TMP, but alright. The Okinawa-class is one of my favorite non-canon designs, and as I said, with some tweaks you'll do her justice in the TOS-era.

flipping what? where... when.... rofl :D
this makes me dizzy ;)
-
Texture problem fixed flipped it horizonally then rotated 180 in photoshop.
