Thank for the help, but their seems to be a problem. i have used the port forwarding given by this post, but i think this is for dynaverse only. i was wondering if anyone had information on how to run the game PvP with gamespy.
Any help would be appreceaited very much, thank you

P.S. i just tested the dynaverse and it does not work either, is their anything else i need to do besides forward the ports as given in the post from the link about?
thank you very much

OK, not only do you have to forward the ports that SFC OP needs, you also have to go to the Gamespy Arcade help area and look for their Firewall/router config information..
as for the Dynaverse.. and you are playing OP.. do you have the Directory fix file installed, or the OP Enhancement Package v3.0?
either one of these has the OP Dynaverse Directory fix file in it and that file is required by the game to see the servers...
the OP Enhancement Package is your best shot to getting up to the communities game standard for content installed.

thanks for the help, but does anyone know how you can directly open a port to a computer or the network?

Read the documentation of your router or go to the maker of your router's web site and get the PDF Manual that they have available...
Either that or post what kind of router you have and ask for help in the Dynaverse 2 forum area.. many there have routers..
I myself find them useless since I have 2 IP's addresses and 2 cable connections for my 2 computers.. no need for 1/2 bandwidth using a network and a router that splits my connection.
