 just d/led it and the pcl mind if i convert them to sfc3.

Garath, go ahead and use them (any of them) in SFC3. Actually, the stock pirates have already been converted to SFC3. All you have to do is drop the SFC3 files into my folder. Please include the readme if you redistribute it, is all.

Very crisp and decent textures... a big improvement :P
