Interior de sala is inside the theaters! Check out the captains chairs and dining tables, just as I said! ;)

Sweet. Wish that we ad something like that around here.
In Moblie, close towhere I grew up, they had a place called 'The Silver Screen.' It was an honest-to-God restraunt with a movie screen in it, and while you dined on steaks, burgers, seafood or Cajun cusine, you got to watch the new releases. The movie was free with dinner, and the meals were no more expensive than any chain steak house.

Actually that sounds good, it's located in Mobile did you say? Sounds like a fun place to visit...dinner and a movie...that sounds really cool as well.

Florida had a first run movie theater like that in the 80's J, you could even smoke in the thing! Austin has a wine and dine theater as well, but no smoking, and you have to wait a while before you get a first run movie as it seems Cinemark and Tinseltown have a monopoly on American movie theaters now. :(
BTW, thumbs up on SW 3, but I too was a tad bit disappointed in some parts. So far the moneycounters are saying it is NOT a record, well, it may be Sunday afternoon but the weekend is not over YET!

Not sure if it's still there or still in the same condition/ownership that it was Back When, Dash. But it used o be a prety nice place. Mobile is a good place for a history buff (couple of old forts in town, the Alabama and the Drum from WWII, and a lot of CIvil War sites in and around town) and a pretty fair place to go barhopping... Daulphin Street is a lot safer to stager around on than Burbon Street. If you're here in Feburary of next year hit osme of the Madi Gras parades- they are a little more 'civilized' in Mobile, with just as much booze, boobies and beeds as N'awleans... without the constant risk of getting your wallet snatched and your intestines mysteriously appear on the ground in front of you.
Cheaper to party in Mobile, too.
Jack, you could smoke in the smoking section here, and it was the set of tables farthest away from the theater... best seats in the house.

Ahhhh, the BB Alabama and submarine Drum, I too remember Mardi Gras on the Gulf Coast, and had many an enjoyable weekend as a youngster on Dauphin Island.
Never got to see boobies though, I guess times have changed! ;)
