Im curently useing Desty_Nova's ships in my mod and have run into a odd problem. All his textures are 1024, but for some reason the Klingon textures did not show up on the ship in game. I had to reduce them to 512 to get them to show up.
But I just Added his SparrowHawk, and it's textures showed up which they are 1024. And I did nothing to them. Kinda dont understand that.
As when I replace a ship all I do is a streight swap out of the folders rename the orginial folder and the mod files in it and nothing else As I never had a problem with the textures not showing uo till now.

What colour was the model in the game?
Black or white
Black is a conversion problem with the testures not being mapped to an area. White is a miss naming of the texture (name.ext either one wrong) or a size issue (must be 1024, 512, 256 etc). What exactly are you seing?

White ships, but like I said the roms show up just fine and The textures are named the same.

its got to be the size. Make sure they are base 2 numbers (ie 2, 4, 8, 16, 32,64 etc)

Thought so too even went so far as too delete them and unzip them again. Still did the same thing so I resized them and like I said now they work fine. And Its just the Klingons ships that did that.

Sheck the color size bits then, it might be storing them at a size level the game will not see. Use 16 million or I think it will see them at 256 but 8 and 4 bit colours don't work.

Desty used 1024x1024 (as you mentioned) 24bit texture maps for all his ships (ftrs were smaller, but still 24bit). It's strange that you're having this problem. The versions that I have, including the Klingons, have all worked without any troubles. One of those "twilght zone" effects, I guess. ???
