If you notice your XP system getting a bit slow lately here is one thing your can do to address it.
- Double click My Computer.
- Select View | Explorer Bar | Search.
- Click Change Preferences.
- Select Without Indexing Service.
- Click No, do not enable Indexing Service.
- Click OK.

Toasty, that option for me IS turned off. (running WinXP w/ SP2 already intregrated).
But for thoughs of you who do not have SP2, do what the man says. ;D

You know, I have run across that "service" but never gave it any thought. There are times it looks like my kids' Athlon XP 2500+ system is speedier than my Athlon 64 3000+. It always made me scratch my head. Thanks, Toast!
