Simply amazing.

Anybody ever wish they were there? I do sometimes. It's been a dream since I was very small.

I FULLY agree, E. The idea that we are actually looking at the Sun setting on another planet in that pic- one close enough to touch- is more infuriating than a tease on prom night.
I'm leaving this rock on the first thing smoking that has a crew large enough to need security personel. :)

Only if I get to pilot it. ;)

It looks very beautiful. It'll even be more-so when we see the day that we can see such a sunset with our own eyes...

Deal... hurry up and get certified and I'll *shudder*... uhm, go to OCS so I can get on. :'(

LOL, J.! Only something soooo cool would make go to OCS, eh? LOL!
-
OCS? A mars mission is long enough they'll have to bring along someone to actually work.. :P

Man, OCS is like a death sentence for me. It'll take be away from things that go *bang* and *boom* and all the little Trans girls in their Hemmits and 100-ton Oshkosh rigs.
No mo' fun for this little white boy if I go to OCS... then it's all 'Yes Sir' and 'No Sir' and buying my own uniforms and eating in the Officers Mess with your elbows off the table and the right fork for the right dish. ::)
God save us all from Officers and their bloody Airs and Graces!

Yep... good point... I'll just have to get my thrid stripe by then!

LOL.. Nagoura is the one I would be afraid of- his coffee cup said 'Let me tell you about my great-grandchildren' and the SOB was not only STILL on active duty, but was the onl person that could intimidate Jim Kirk!

I can see the kernel for a ST novel: some pretty Japanese crew girl/junior officer goes to him pointing, "Grandpa, you know THAT captain over there, you know the one standing by that half-Vulcan guy?"

ROFFL!!!
Yeah...
"Sweety, why does my new great-grandchild have the same color hair and eyes as Jim Kirk?"
