Title: OT: Question about the General Wars

Quick question......... I know the General Wars are from Y158 to Y162 in SFB. What does that translate to in SFC ? (example 2260)

Per SFB the General War in it's entirety was from Y158-Y185.  In Captains Log #9 from ADB (makers of SFB), it states that the original series, the five year mission was from Y150-Y156.  The movies are set just after the general war.   And the Next Generation well after Y225.  From the Gurps Prime Directive rulebook...X technology arrives Y180-Y205.  2x Tech Y205-Y225.  3x Tech Y226+.

I don't know if you got a direct answer to your question or not. Y160=2260, 0 in the shiplist = 2263 (Y163). You can do the math from there.

You might have already seen this, but it's ADB's official overview of the General War, by SFB (Y___) date.

This is great!  I've never played much of SFB (all I had was an old version of the game that my Dad has and nobody was interested in learning how to play with me) and I have been curious about the SFB timeline.  This answers a lot of questions before I even thought about asking them.

I thought the General War "Offically" started around Y164 (When Mirak/Kzinti and Klingon forces where involved).  Was it as early as Y158?

According to the history, the General War 'officially' started in August Y168, when the Lyrans launched their assault against the Kzin (followed by the Klingons in January Y169).

Y158 to Y162 is known as the "Four Powers War" which was considered "The last of the small regional wars [which] involved the Klingons and Lyrans against their enemies, the Kzintis and Hydrans...The war was savage (being the first to have large numbers of ships involved) but ultimately just another border war as the state of logistics made any deep strikes into enemy territory impossible to support."
