Title: need a good solid basic printer fax combo. At least a printer

Use to have one but not know and I need anotherone, so any reconmindations  on a printer or maybea printerfax machine combo as well.

I'm currently using a HP 7310 All-in-One printer/Fax/Scanner/Copy machine, it cost about $400USD at Sam's but it has worked great for me.  Just be careful installing the drivers, the software that HP is putting out will take over your machine.  Took me a little time to figure out and disable the problem child.  Hope this helps.

I put forward the HP Officejet v40xi. Realiable for over two years now, a printer/copier/fax/scanner. Only drawback is the scanner is top load only, not flatbed. It can take oversized HP cartridges and does a good job printing onto photo paper. Plus the control are easy to see right up on top.
