A German inventor says he's found a way to make cheap diesel fuel out of dead cats.
Dr Christian Koch, 55, from Kleinhartmannsdorf, said his method uses old tyres, weeds and animal cadavers.

It's serious. There is a plant in Kansas City doing the same thing with Turkey guts from slaughter houses.

It's a process called Thermal Depolymerization, and actually can be used to make toxic waste safe, with the byproduct of light, sweet crude.

"This is our first out plant, and we estimate we'll make oil at fifteen dollars a barrel. In three to five years, we'll drop that to ten dollars, the same as a medium-size oil exploration and production company. And it will get cheaper from there."

This is a variation on the process where they take the used french fry grease from the golden arches and turn it into bio-diesel.
