Am I suppose to install this to be able to see SFC2.net forums ??
Thank you for choosing phpBB 2. In order to complete this install please fill out the details requested below. Please note that the database you install into should already exist. If you are installing to a database that uses ODBC, e.g. MS Access you should first create a DSN for it before proceeding.

You must have caught me mid-update, after the drive array was upgraded I updated php to 5.0.5 which required that phpbb be updated to 2.0.18... clear your cache and try again. Apologies for any inconvenience. Note that a day or two's worth of posts may have been lost because the old drive array crashed last weekend before we got to replacing it, again, aplogies for any inconvenience, things should be pretty stable from here on...

Ah...that explains why earlier today I couldn't get a post to stay. Made it twice and it would just go away when I clicked on "submit".

Ya, the same thing happened to me, that's what twigged me that phpbb needed to be updated because php only allows passing variables by reference as of 5.0.5. (which was the error we were experiencing when it would not accept new posts.) Thankfully phpbb had already released the necessary update, with plenty of other fixes too...
[Fix] fixed "var-by-ref" errors (Bug #322)
