Yes..this is STO....almost all of us are aware of it...

but since it will be "pay to play"...and wont be of the same gaming style as StarFleet Command...not many have expressed an interest..

I'd be interested in It also, IT's just my Sat Con doesn't loan itself out very well to MMORPGs.

I might give it a try if there is some sort of free trial for a period of time or something.

Usually i detest the whole concept of MMORPG's so it would take a lot to convince and impress me, for me to consider buying the game and paying a subscription per month.

This is old news. The web site redesign is the only new thing. Actually after taking some research polls, there seems to be a mild shift in favor of allowing ship battles in a, wait for it, 2-D plane on a 3 dimensional background. They are still emphasing that they want battle s in space to be a minor element.

Heh, I think as time goes by they will figure out that ship to ship battles is a very important thing to the Trek fan, and expand it though.  I love the fact that you are supposed to be able to man different stations with your crew.  We should definitely have at least one D.net crew when it comes out.  The sad thing is the last time I looked you could only be Fed, so there would be little to no PvP.  If given the time though (as in, if the game doesn't flop right away and the plug is pulled) I'm sure they'll add it.

is a good place for info on the upcoming game, also Startrek.com has a forum devoted to it though who knows how much longer startrek.com will be around.
