Title: OT: New wireless router, can't draft or be drafted
Post by: Capt Jeff on December 06, 2005, 09:22:04 am
Linksys wireless router, can log into servers, just can't draft or be drafted.

I'm hard wired into port 1, the wireless is for roomates new laptop.

Windows firewall is off, Norton shut down, firewall settings on the router disables, and I think I have this computer in the DMZ.

I know little to nothing about routers, so any help would be appreciated.

I guess I could unplug router every time I play, but would rather not....

Thanks!

I have a Linksys router and have done D2 wirelessly before puting the PC in the DMZ

make sure your current IP of the Wireless adapter is in the DMZ.   The DHCP lease times are WAY too short on this router so they change all the time.

On my router I set a certain range for DHCP to choose from and gave my main computer a Static IP outside that range.

No troubles anymore with that crazy DHCP stuff messing up my port forwarding.

My Servers are running Static IPs, but on a wireless laptop?

I also have a Linksys wirleless rounter (WRTG54G). Have to run in DMZ mode to get on. Sure you have it that way?
