The closest thing to it is The Sims, or Harvest Moon.

Basically, you live the life of a human in a town populated by anthropomorphic animals (cute things).  It has fishing, bug collection, house design etc.

It's one of those another life type games.

It's for Nintendo DS.  Safe for all ages (except online DS to NintendoWIFI - can run into the same undesireables that exist on nearly every online game).

Even when you dont play, 'something happens in town every day'.

LOL!  My Wife and kids are hooked to the old game on the GC.  The boys are getting DSs of their own in june and my wife (Alien) will probably get one too with that game specifically.  I'll let her know that there is a dyna member that plays this so she can ask you about it later.

I have this for my DS, my son and I both play it.  The whole family got into the GC version.  It's a pretty cool little low-stress game to mess around with.  :D

Don't have a wireless router though so we don't go online.
