Ok, I just found out about this new "Beta Patch" (I've been away for a while) but I heard too that Modem users (like me) can't play SFC3 online. Man, I'm dying for a patch for SFC3 and I hope this beta patch fixes some issues, but should I even bother downloading it or wait until Taldren/Activision ever releases an "Offical" Patch? UHG!

That is up to you. Otoh, I know for a fact that Taldren is axiously and most hopefully waiting to hear from players just like you who are using a modem.
If you do find the game unplayable after the patch you can always uninstall the game (this icludes removing the Activision folder/directory) and do a fresh install of the game to get rid of the patch.
Best,
Jerry

Ive been playing every night since the Beta came out on a 56K modem. I have noticed no differences in play other than the occasional lag which has occured in every SFC title I have played. The only noticable diffence that I can detect is that instead of the jumpiness that usually occured, in a very bad lag situation, the jumpiness seems more subtle and not as abrupt. I have flown with and against other 56k players in mutlitple missions and have found no real change in stability vs the original game. So give it a try. The bugs that were fixed make it worth it.

Thanks Fluf, I will give it a try.
