Title: Probing weapon arming status
Post by: Skaren on April 10, 2006, 11:45:55 am
In my recent battle with Dfly after I launched my type R he fired a probe, I am assuming to see if the torp was still armed.  Does that always work?  I ask cause it hit him dead on, and I doubt he screwed up dropping a weasel, and because several of our players have also said that probe readings are not always on the money.

So which way is it, does a probe fired give a true reading of your opponents weapon arming status ?

It's not 100% reliable.

So does it sometimes work?  Like any ideal what the odds are or what triggers it to work,.. any other info?

Thanks though, I was mighty astonished to smack Dfly with the R after I saw him probe me.

Nothing more more embarassing than shooting your load, and then getting probed.   :-\

I would say that it works roughly 83%, being 5 of 6 times.  Trust it never, believe it most times.
