I am getting bad CRC w/ the most current one.

If you are reinstalling over the Sunday version, be sure to use the FromEW.bat file to uninstall before trying to install the new one.  Econ War will not install over itself, in order to protect your backup files.

Had a similar problem myself.

Solution was to right click on my assets folder choose properties,  unselect the read only button at bottom, click apply, and then click ok to prompt about subforders.  This did the trick.

Now *that's* curious.  That folder has never been write-protected in my game installations.  I wonder what the difference is?  The installer turns off write-protection on the shiplist.txt and ftrlist.txt (and then turns it back on later) but I didn't try to do that with the assets folder because I didn't appear to need to.

Everyone who's still having trouble (2 so far that I know of), give this a shot.

I'll have to look up the command to turn off write-protection on folders, but once I figure it out I'll put up a new installer that handles that problem.

Is the Economic War shiplist OP+4 or stock OP based? (it appears to be stock based...)
