The tech Junkie in me loves this, but IT makes me wonder about Job security for people who sell products at stores...

This won't be much more than a small nitch market. How do you return products? Key issue right there, I imagine that most people would prefer to have a store to take back defective products to. What about asking questions about the products capability? Being able to try out a demo model?
No cash sales, I notice too.

True that. I heard that Ipod has done something similiar down there in So. Cali. Can you verify that for me?

Yes, it's at a shopping center here in San Diego. Fashion valley or something like that.
If it makes money, hey I'm all for it. And it does have potential for a small nitche market. But I don't see all that many people deciding to buy expensive consumer electronics from a vending machine --- unless there's a good discount.
