Title: Shipyard raids... the kind that hurt...

How's this strike ya?

At the start of the campaign, RM's designate their planetary shipyards and what they produce. During the campaign if these facilities are lost, those ships built there will be interupted for x game years while their production is transferred to other facilities.

I like it...It makes perfect sence that if you destroy ship building and servicing facilities...it would effect production and maintainence...

But there should allways be some facilities beyond the abiity to strike... ;)

maybe each shipyard could be designated for a conjectural/rare ship type so that if the shipyard goes down before production of the conectural, it prevents you from using a certain conjectural ship, something that if lost won't throw the server...just be annoying

But...say the Federation is doing so badly that the Terran Sector is vunerable...Utopia Planetia shouldn't be invulnerable forever.

Speaking of Shipyard raids, any chance we could get a mission for a MAJOR shipyard raid?  Something with like 20 or 30 Shipyards, complete with partially completed ships to help defend the yards?  And every defending ship in the sector coming in?  ;D
