was floating around IGN and spotted this game called Darkstar One thought everyone might be interested in the ship designs so here is a link to a whole bunch of ship pics.
it seems to be alot like a cross of Freelancer and the old X-Wing games. i am checking out the demo this weekend so i will let you all know how it plays.

The ships look very organic. I wonder if the game is moddable

makes me think of some of atolms designs. He'd probably like the game. A few of those ships would double as fed ships, advanced a few classes ahead of the sov.
-
Wow, page 1 has some ships that'd make good isc ships.

little update on the demo. gameplay is very much like Freelancer but with a better storyline the ship you get is quite unique and can grow with the pilot as you gain experience and equip new systems to it. all and all i think this will be a great game for those who like Freelancer. the system requirements are somewhat high with a minimum of a 1.6 proccessor

Cenuries have passed since the great galactic war. Since then, the numerous races within the universe have attempted to live peacefully next to each other. The Great Council is watching over the peace and the powers of the empires. However, recently, a small and reclusive race from the edge of the universe called "Thul" has begun to repeatedly violate the peace.
The galactic peace has been in grave danger ever-since as the races grew increasingly suspicious and began to blame each other for these attacks. The Great Council seems to be on the verge of falling apart. A new war seems inevitable.
In all this turmoil, the hero of the game - the young escort pilot Kayron Jarvis - discovers clues about a secret that his murdered father was apparently hiding. An unknown technology that is hidden within the Darkstar One appears to be the key - but then an unforeseen twist changes the course of events dramatically ...

im DLing the demo now... but ddon'tyou guys think that the HD space needed for it is a bit much...?
i mean i know most of it is textures and sound... but come on... and I'm sure they are using good compression... but i really think its a bit much...
any one else with me on this?
----------------------------------------------------------
well i got to play the game for a bit... and i now know why it weight is grater then the statue of liberty....its the cinematics... and a few other elements... that i wont go in to...but the demo is very crashy like...
i mean like every 15 min crash... not very fun... and there don't seem to be any reason for it.....
but then again it could be my system...
