oops, I got the first vote. Of the two 'evil' choices I'd have to go with the line ships.

Second option is pointless. No one will fly CWL's unless they don't like their CC's (like Lyrans and Klinks).

I disagree.   CWLs are viable options though not as good as the Fast cruisers we see over-flown.

What CWL can take out a CCH or a CF?

Pretty much only the LCWLF.

Pretty much only the LCWLF.

F-CLC, K-D5L, Z-MCC,  G-CDD, R-SPL/R-KDR, L-CWLP, H-BAR/APA are all good ships.

If the SPL can kill any of the others, I'd be impressed.

The KDR is a dog as well. The others are good ships but you're not going to get me into one with a points incentive when a CCH is available.

Good point, what about NCA?

Killing somebody in a any ship that is neither a speciality of BCH-class+ ship does not count for any VCs.

Ships classfied as "specialty" is determined by the Server Admin.  There's a max limit of how many speciality and/or BCH-class+ ships are on at one time. Losing a speciality and/or BCH-class+ ship disallows the player from flying these type ships for the successive 12 hours.

NCA is even worse. Would you fly one over a CLC? Or would you rather just grab the CB you know you can win with?

Again they're two wildly different ideas that don't have anything to do with each other.

The original idea (#1 I guess) was created to give you elite types reasons to move out of teh CF's/droners/ wahtver
into the CWL/CC lines. (depending on teh year of course)
This would help (to a degree) of breaking up the 3 ship killer fleets flown by the nest pilots that cn only be taken out by another three ship fleet etc etc.

The second option simply lets new players experience the joy of flying a CWL that doesn't really have the hull to stand up to a CF/droner whatver and gives tehm the opportunity to die to the opponents PVP players flying around in said ships.

CWLs are more than capable of handling Droners.  Fast cruisers are another story . . .

Wait a sec,  F-CB (CCH), F-CLC (CWL) versus L-CCH (CCH), and K-FDW (Fast cruiser).   Sounds familar . . . .    ::)

I believe the L-CCH had a fairly big handicap in that fight..
