Title: Klingon TMP K'T'Kara fast cruiser WIP
Post by: Terradyhne on September 21, 2006, 05:58:54 pm: this design is roughly based on the D-7 and the TOS version had the D-7 bridge and boom but it didn't really fit the fast cruiser role so this got much upgrades for the TMP version and a forward dual Torplauncher was added which the TOS version never had
the texture is not done yet

it looks a bit like a predecessor of the Vorcha ;D

i decided to delete the third nacelle but if someone wants a three neacelled version i will release this to.

Post by: Raven Night on October 23, 2006, 09:03:39 pm: Excellent. I made a vorcha prequel as well, I would suggest you try something out. Create a standard D-7 bridge superstructure, and place it back on the neck. Just try it and see how it looks. I bet it would make it stunning.

Obviously an X ship by the elongated engines.

I did the L7 "Bringer of the Nether World" fast battlecruiser a few months ago for LAN games.

Aparently onlythe Federation and Klingons bother with fast ship technology, whereby you switch between pairs of nacelles, as they overheat, to cruise at a higher speed. The L7 switches diagonally as with Federation quad nacelle starships.

Fast starships are just so useful in strategic campaign games!!

Will you be doing a fast frigate next to go with it??

What Klingon shipyard/designer designation and number will it carry?? D, K, L, J, etc,??

Also happy you're keeping a 3rd nacel variant, maybe one with the nacel pointed UP and also mounted below might also change the look and mollify some peeps??? Regardless, it still looks great with 2.

Let's just say the moment I saw it you inspired me (and you peeps probably already know the way my mind works...)
