Well, since the Ranger are in the same division, I will go ahead and cheer them on.

BUT, come next year all bets are off. ;D

The Tigers beat the A's 5 to 1 in the first game.  Personally I hope the Tigers win out, I've waited 22 years for this and I really think they have a good shot at it this time.  But like all sports the teams actually have to play the games before they can boast about being #1.  Although if the Tigers Pitching comes out like it did against the Yankees, the A's are going to have a short playoff series against the Tigers.  Either way it's going to be a good series.

I think the tragic death of Cory Lidle can light a fire under the A's.  He pitched for them for several years; Zito and Eric Chavez were both his teammates and he was well-liked by everyone who's ever played with him on the same team.  Tragedy has an odd way of motivating Oakland; just look at their World Series sweep of the Giants after the '89 earthquake.

Not looking good for your home team, one more loss and its a ride home for the A's.  Starting to look like you had the right idea about that broom but for the wrong team.  If bonderman pitches in the next game like he did against the Yankee's the A's are done.  Personally I'd like to see the Tigers sweep the A's, not out of hate as I like the A's but it would give the Tigers a rest before the World Series.

Go Tigers.   ;D

Yes.  Yes, it looks like you will be cheering for the Tigers.   ;D

The A's played some tough games and had good chances to win but just couldn't pull it off and fell to the Tigers...

I'm hoping the NLCS goes seven games, the Tigers pitching could use the rest after that series with the A's.

The ALCS wasn't even close.  Both the A's pitching and hitting fell flat on their face when it counted.  The real pain of this is going to be listening to non-stop gloating by Giants fans for the next year.

Like those Giants fans have anything to gloat about, I sure has He|| didn't see them playing today.   ;D  Better luck next year A's.

Oh, almost forgot...

Go Tigers.
