I just want to say that I honor those of you that have and/or are serving in the US military. Today is the day that our country celebrates, but I have to say that I celebrate and thank all of you EVERYDAY!
I will be thanking my father as I am sure he is remembering his lost buddies from Viet Nam when he was in the Army. I will be thanking my father-in-law for his many many years of silent service in the submarine force. I will be thanking my brother and my cousin for their time in the reserves. I will be thanking my brother-in-law for rejoining the military and is now an officer. And I will always thank my lucky stars that my husband serves proudly and with distinction in the US Navy. Without these people in my life I wouldn't understand what it means to be free, and I wouldn't understand honor and commitment as well as I do. They are my heroes and I am deeply proud of each and everyone of them!
May your Veteran's Day be peaceful and full of burning meat on the BBQ!

On behalf of my devildawg officemates, those tireless recruiters selling the Corps to a largely uneducated public, I thank you. Being a civilian in the office, I have a unique viewpoint. Right now, I am headed to the Ball in order to pay the fine and drink the wine.
