Title: My resolution's jacked up!
Post by: SSCF-LeRoy on November 18, 2006, 09:01:12 am
Hey, guys! I finally managed to peel myself away from college for the weekend once again :woot: :rwoot: I got a lil' technical problem, though.

I'm tryin' to run SFC on a widscreen LCD, but the aspect ratio is sqishin' the picture and EZini doesn't provide an appropriate resolution. How do I get OP to fit the screen?

P.S. Yay! 900th post ;D

I think you just need to play it in windowed mode.  I have a widescreen monitor and that is what I do.

NVidia or ATI?

A fossilized nVidia gForce 2 ::) (soon to be replaced by a more recent model, however :flame:)

I tried, but all I get is an empty black box that covers part of the screen with the background music.

Set youir graphics to 16-bit, windowed mode will not work with 32_bit

I have both ATI and Nvidia equipment.   In the NVdia Control panel therer should be an option to set a fixed aspect ratio under the Digital Flat panel tab.   It might depend on how old the software is.

Yes, I was going to suggest that.  Need 16 bit color settings or that happens.

You could try opening sfc.ini and manually plugging in your display resolution for fullscreen. It may or may not work (Might break the UI).
