Awesome, my only question is this.

Why the **** isn't Freebird no. 1?!  Since it's near freakin' impossible to play.

Even stranger, Slash played on "Black or White" and "Give in to Me" on the Dangerous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_(album)) album.

Actually, being a guitarist, I thought "Sketches in the Sun" would be up there...

  Try  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj-k2PNFl2w

Then try some of his solo stuff..Turbulence, Not Necessarily Acoustic, Homebrew, and The Grand Scheme of Things.

Yes, I do like him a bit  ;D

Well, at least Steve Howe, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck, and Robert Fripp got a (as in 1) mention. Good to see Brian May got some props. He's a way underrated guitarist. As a matter of fact, Jeff Beck and Frank Zappa both gave him 1st mention when asked who they thought the best was. Both said that you can't name any one as best, but then mentioned him 1st after that.

As any guitarist knows, the best guitarist in the world is probably playing in a restaurant in Tijuana and nobody knows who he is because he spends all of his time drunk on tequila. ;D

Garcia got his "obligitory" nod w/ of all things..."Truckin" that is like a smack in the face...not the best studio solo by garcia...grrr, additionally gilmore go a couple nods for DSoTM and none for Animals which IMVHO has a couple of the best solos gilmore ever did on 1 song....Dogs.

Without a doubt, Joe Satriani has to be one of the greatest guitar players out there.

True, Eddie was one of the greats, but unfortunately he is lost in the land of drug induced confusion as of the past years. I only feel sadness that Valerie finally had to leave him.  :(

No 68, Soreyes, Starship Trooper.

Doesn't hold a candle to The Gates of Delirium live.

You also won't see Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush at California Jam 2 playing Jonny B. Goode on that list. It's such a rare record I doubt anyone has it anymore but me.
