I have my two computers networked to this router. I setup my network connection using the network wizard and now when viewing workgroup computers I can see mine and the other computer listed, yet when either computer clicks to view the other it asks for a password. WTF is the password? Where is it, how do I turn this off? EDIT: Also, I cant share files either. Maybe that was the setup configuration I used. How do I enable to drag and drop files? I probably need to either get the PW or maybe rerun the setup wizard and select the ability to share files, but I didnt chose to do this the 1st run around because it looked as if it would allow anyone on the net to also see my files and use my printer! Yikes!
edit2: I noticed on computer A that under Control Panel in Administrative Tools, there is a 'Local Security Policy' shortcut. This does not exist on computer B. I am able to now open and see computer B's files from A, but B cant see into computer A's files after resetting the network connection wizard so both computers can share files. Now my problem is when Comp B tries to look in Comp A's I get the Mshome warning: \\Primary is not accesible. You might not have permission to use the network resources. Contact the admin of the server to fins out if u habe access permissions. The network path was not found. That last sentence has me concerned. wtf happened now?

are you trying to network a winXP and a win 98/5 machine together?
-
I think I have it figured. Had to delve into administrative tools. Comp A is XPPro and B is XPHome.

Is there any particular reason that you actually networked the computers? I thought that I needed or wanted to do that but when I could not figured out how to do it successfully, I found that there was little need for it.

I wanted to share files between computers. Finally after much messing I got puter B setup so that both puters can access B's shared folder. So when I want anything that's where both computers go to swap files. For some reason, puter B cant look into puter A's shared documents w/o a password. I need access from an administrator. Stupid windows.
