Title: Fleeting Rules Clarification
Post by: FPF-DieHard on June 06, 2007, 10:47:04 pm
- Only one Mauler, Carrier, Capital and Fast ship per fleet.  "Multi-Classed" ships, ie, those that fit 2 or more of the restricted roles, count as the one allowed version of any/all roles it fills (so a BCV / BCS / CVA fills the Capital & carrier slots, Mauler DNs are capital & mauler, DNLs are capital & fast, DVLs are capital, fast, and carrier, etc.)

DNLs are all of the Races "light" dreads these are the:

F-DNL/DVL
K-C5 series
R-SHK
G-DNL
L-DNL
H-LEG/LEG+
Z-DNL
I-DNL

I should have clarified this before, I assume people have more SFB background that they do.  Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Now I really don't understand this rule.  Do you mean only one Mauler, Carrier, Capital, OR Fast ship per fleet?  As you have the rule worded now, it would mean that you could have a Cap ship, carrier, mauler, and fast ship together in a one fleet.

Yes, it's only one of any of them...not one of each... ::)

I read it that you can have 1 of each in a fleet.

DH, I dont think you understand what they are saying.  They read it that you can have one of each , as in:

1-DNL(fits  cap and fast)
1-Mauler(fits mauler)
1-Droner(fits specialty)

What DH means by it is that you can only have 1 ship in a fleet of 3 ships that has ANY of those characteristics.  THat 1 ship is allowed to have more than 1 characteristic, but the other 2 ships cannot have any of those characteristics, ie: mauler, fast, cap, carrier, or SPecialty.

Please verify DH.

You cannot have more than one Fast Ship in a fleet, nor can you have more than one mauler or carrier.  A Fast ship can wing with a mauler or carrier.
Does this clear it up at all?

Actually-shouldn't it be "specialty" instead of "mauler"
I'm not sure maulers themselves should be restricted more then droneboats..
