Title: My SFC3 keeps Quiting back to windows? RED ALERT !!!

Can anyone help me?! just got SFC3 (original disc) and as soon as i go to start a mission it just sends me back to windows? has anyone else had this problem? iv tryed numorus patches and re-installed severel times. Iv tryed a no-cd patch, directX 9 patch, V1.01 patch. My PC has got the specs to run it so i know its not that?

Im pulling my hair out trying to figer this out!

First, uninstall everything related to the game.  Patches, mods, new ship models, the game itself, everything.

Next, reinstall the game, fresh install using the install disc.  Once the game has been installed, install the patch available at the link provided:

Restart your system just in case, and if there are any other problems after that, we'll try and help you out.

DO NOT INSTALL ANY OTHER PATCHES!!  If you just want to play the game without mods, follow the install instructions I have provided for you.
