She could use some phaser textures. I've got a texture, if you're willing to map it. :-p

Very useful. Now if only you made secondary hulls and necks and such, I'd be set.
-
Well, not really. But I'd know how to do more stuff than before. :-p

For you, absolutely ;)

nice. How did you go about making the saucer itself? Spline?
-
no, he watched my tutorial.

It's a very informative tutorial, which can produce quality results. Right now I am still just trying to remember the various steps, so I am still watching the tutorial each time I make another saucer. I am starting to get some ideas on how to vary the end results, so I may next try something else for my own purposes.
Anyone who has seen the tutorial will clearly see that the saucer I made looks nothing like the one Fury made, but none the less, it was his method that helped me create the saucer you see above.
I've still got a long way to go, and I've got some support in teaching me more modelling techniques. Hopefully soon I might post a ground up build of another starship.

You might want to try a ledge, like this:

Before you use the bevel tool to create the initial top, use the inset, then the bevel then continue as normal.

I did something similar on the ventral side of the saucer, however you can't see it in the pictures I posted. :-p
