Just out of Curiousity...
What is BCC as I don't spend allot of time surfing anymore things tend to slip by for meaning.
Any comments or Crits on the textures? (well we are at it)

Indeed. And on that note i'm posting a render from NanoFX GE (upcoming in development game engine). Note that I haven't added bump mapping or speculars to it as of yet.

Got a nice screenshot from the NanoFX GE viewer (equipped with bumpmapping and speculars now as well)
-
Too bad you did not use the same angle as the first one it would have been nice to compare the difference
that NanoFX GE engine looks impressive if the games that use it can keep that quality jitter free well a object is moving well in play it will be nice to have those games.
Oh and thanks for the renders, usually don't get to see to many of those!

How's this one?

Yes!
Looks allot better with Spec and bump maps, the spec maps really bring a real look to the hull. The Bump maps I think you might want to think over though. I was looking really close at the saucer and notices a few things, don't know enough about bump maps to know what can be done though.
1 the Saucer should be smooth in TMP, with with the plating more of a 3D look to it. Up close the Aztecs are all bumpy and the plates seem the same no bumping which gives the hull a more TNG look.
2 The lettering seems to be engraved in the hull, you can really see it on the ships name in the USS part
3 Really added that recessed look to the phaser strips that i wanted almost like it was modelled
I mean I really had to look to find this stuff, zoom in and what not, the over all impression though is much better. The additional mapping adds allot to the ship, and thanks for the shot to compare them by it would not have been possible to see this with out it.

Glad you liked the pictures. If you have a source PSD (Photoshop) file by chance that I can get then I can remove a bunch of the details that I don't want bump mapped such as the registry and aztecing. Most of my bumpmaps I create from specular maps which I also had to create from scratch for these images. Would help a bunch if you might have the source files. At least for the saucers (top and bottom) and hull as they are the main areas of the ship. Most of the smaller textures aren't noticeable enough anyways :P
-
I did them in PSP (paintshop pro) which can open PSD files but I don't think PS can open psp files and I saved them in a reduced formate mostly for registry work and not the full build file. So I don't know how helpful they will be to you. But I can send them to you if you want to try

GAFY, if you want, email them my way.. I use PSP myself and have had good luck converting stuff to PhotoShop. My wife uses it at work, so I just get her to try it out there for the final test. :)
If it converts successfully, I'll send you a walkthrough on how to do it. :D

So did the sent files help, iknow you had to get PSP to start looking?

Yeah, they are always fun to see at first but after a week, two at the most they need to find another house to stay at.

You deal with your relatives for a week? I can barely stand mine for a few hours, and I'm talking about my brother and sister.

Bump,
and the last one from me as this one will now sink into oblivion

This one is for Darkthunder:
Was wondering how that worked out for you and the nanoflex driven game, do you have a community that you show case things to other than here?
Also if you let me know what things you need or how you do the bump maps and spec maps I might be able to set future files so that these can be done from them or just include them in the alts directory.
