LOL. the Uniden have returned! (you should really call them that...has a nice ring to it) Where do you get all those parts? Do you work at an electronics recycling plant or something?
-
You've outdone yourself this time. Cool design!
-
Looks like the All-Spark has struck again!
-
what is that thing?
look cool :D
-
Thanks mates
The ship is just an idea I had...
that "Dome" in the front is supposed to be a type of physical shield...it can be "energized" to be sort of a poor man's deflector.
those spires on the sides retract for FTL travel...and can be utilized to help generate and regulate a force field when they are extended in normal space.
the bridge is that circular structure that has those box-like stuctures flanking it on the dorsal.

Reminds me of a dragonfly.. very nice!

I thought that it was a fancy high tech bottle opener for a while!! :o
I always carry a bottle opener just in case of emergencies such as accidentally being trapped in a beer cellar for instance. ::)
I have a couple of Uniden CB rigs from the 1980's upstairs, which still work quite well. Compared to the Cybernet boarded junk, they were and are always superiour.... even to Midland.
In the US Uniden was marketed under the "President" logo, so if you've ever owned a "President" CB rig, you were using a Uniden built piece of quality radio kit.
Strange difference in terminoloy between the US and UK regarding the ownership and use of illegal linear amplifiers with CB radio equipment..... in the US their refered to as "Boots" and over here "Attenna Defrosting Units", which is basically what they literally do. Watching "Saint Elmo's Fire" being created on an antenna system with a kliowatt of HF charging the polarised field during a drizzly rain storm is quite awe inspiring!! :o
Yes the "thing" does look like a decnt piece of art work, better than some of that crap normally displayed in art galleries.

Thanks for the long(?) comment... ::)
And thanks for the support :)

I got a president CB myself. They rock.
-
Yep, you think that Midland is good.... then you trade up to a President!!
Had a President Adams here once that had been converted to UK 40 Channel FM and Euro (FCC) 80 Channel FM 27 Mhz.
The CB world is still a bit pissed here after they took away the UHF 934 Mhz. CB band for the Cell Phone companies to use and left us with just 120 Channels 27 Mhz., 5 Channels 49Mhz. and 8 Channels 220 Mhz.
934 Mhz. used to really travel well and was so free of static and interference.
The thing looks like a cork screw designed by an alien or maybe that mysterious "Anal Probe" that abductees go on about.
