Title: HD problem

well the HD that got win xp seem dead, i try to use it as a slave but no luck, i try it as a master but not working, i try it alone and no luck.

so anyone can help me get my data back?, its a 40 GIG  so its i think around maybe 30 GIG of data that i want to get back.  :(

the hd is under warranty by the manufacture, BUT i must pay for the shipping and it can cost 30$ to 50$, i will ask WD about the warranty and consumer protection to see if i can do anything about the HD.  >:(
