well since i transfer the content of the hd that was use on this com into another i still got the files of firefox but the bookmark is empty and i don't know where is the back up) if there is one.
so unless that win 98 and win xp are not compatible in firefox where is the bookmark?
i check the files where firefox is but i can't see a back up of it, remember reading that it was store on the website of fire fox or something like that.
win 98 was install on this com and now its win xp, will ask llater for dual booting for win 98 and win xp.

I'm not sure about Win98 but in WinXP Bookmarks for Firefox can be found here assuming you installed the program in the same place:
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile
I would think that since both WinXP and Win98 both have a Program Files folder that Firefox would put the bookmarks in the same location. If not look around in all the sub-folders and see if you can find a bookmarks file somewhere. Hope this helps.

Here is where I found a copy of mine.
C:\Documents and Settings\Jonathan Walls\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\40jiuzd6.default\bookmarkbackups
You would be wise to go into Organize Bookmarks when you get everything set and export a copy to file as a backup.

The easiest way is to use the command prompt and use this command from the root of the C: drive:
dir book*.* /s/p
