Howdy all, long time no see. :D
Got back into SFC this week having reinstalled and getting addicted to Orion Pirates and also SFC 3 (which didn't stay on my HD for very long). Anyway, I used to have a copy of sfc2intro.exe from EAW backed up with all my OP enhancements but I don't seem to have it, nor can I locate my copy of EAW either.
Is there a site out there that has a copy for download? I always thought it was a pretty cool movie.
Cheers!

It is a bink movie so no there aren't downloads without the game disk.
-
Yes its a bink video, but that does not require the CD for it to run.
Good chance it might be on gamepsy or fileplanet (IGN) somewhere as a trailer?
Another place to look might be Starfleet Universe (http://sfc.strategyplanet.gamespy.com/)
I don't think we have it available for download here. (Think that would have legal issues... backup specs files and binaries are one thing... the whole intro movie would be something else again.)
If you absolutely must have it, cannot find your disk or find it online then I suggest you PM someone you know has EAW and get them to send it to you. I doubt anyone would object to that.

Cheers for the tips. I'll keep searching.
I know its sailing close to the wind in terms of the legalities, but wasn't too sure what the stance was, especially since its an exe rather than a bik file.

Crazy! Never saw this, I always thought the OP intro showing the developer companies was as there was!

You guys don't go to File Planet or IGN, or Starfleet Universe much do you.. it is in their download sections.. do a google search for Orion Pirates Movie...
Also the original EAW Trailer will come up the same way and it is nothing like the EAW Intro movie when game launchs.

OMG! What software is used to capture this stuff? I've got like a billion "classic" D2 battles on film
-
Taldren made the movie.. it was captured using Camtasia Movie Studio.. You just run camtasia to capture screen and just play the game.. it will record the game as a movie, and allows you to edit out what you don't want after you are done recording.. the software is expensive and you must have a lot of ram and HDD space and a good processor and vid card otherwise your movie will come out choppy.

THere is a cheapie one out there called Hypercam too. Not sure how well it would do with SFC.

It has a 30 day free trial. http://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasiatrial.asp

I loved some of those for a whoot.

The movie for the quintessential SFC1 Skirmish mission, the Repair Roundevous is there also. That mission on the SFC1 Demo hooked me on SFC.
Sadly, that mission and the Quantum Factor fan mission never made it to SFC:OP :(

Amen to that.
Repair Rendezvous for OP.... now that would be awesome.

If anybody wants the OP intro movie to be this one below... PM me.
