Title: Life on Mars?
Post by: Bonk on August 02, 2008, 03:24:07 pm
There are rumblings...:

White House Briefed On Potential For Mars Life (http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story.jsp?id=news/WH08018.xml&headline=White%20House%20Briefed%20On%20Potential%20For%20Mars%20Life&channel=space)

It would not be a huge surprise to me, but very significant nonetheless, if that is what is actually happening here. Instrumental confirmation of suitability for agriculture would be big.

Has our Gov'ment ever told us the entire truth about what's "out there"? Probably had to make sure there was no link to A-51 or something dumb like that. Had to delay to come up with a cover story.

It was perchlorate. They found perchlorate (they think). That is all.

They deny that there was a presidential briefing.
