Title: MOD plugin for Max 2008?

Anyone know if the old MOD plugins will work with later Max versions?

More than likely not.  You'll need to have someone compile new plugins for newer versions of MAX using the plugin source codes.

The max plug ins only work for max 3-5, thats it  :'(

You can download G-Max from above to convert the mod files to and fro from max files.
